Robert Thomas-KO Health Director

The Health Director manages the current health program portfolio, develops future programming or projects via ongoing partnerships with the KO First Nations and various government agencies. The Health Director also represents the organization through service on numerous boards and committees.

Karen Dodic- Health Programs Assistant

The Health Programs Assistant aids the Health Director in managing the Health program portfolio, develops future programming via direction from the Health Director and KO Health Advisory Committee, and maintains the day to day operations of the department.

Gary Quequish-Mental Health Therapist, Capacity Builder/Trainer

Mental Health Therapist, Capacity Builder/Trainer provides Mental Health services to KO First Nation clients, case management and referrals, support of Mental Health teams or workers in the communities. As Capacity Builder/Trainer, he develops and organizes training opportunities for KO Mental Health community workers, and actively participates in the Menoyawin project relating to Mental Health. 

Sally Bunting- Mental Health Therapist

The Mental Health Therapist provides Mental Health services to KO First Nation clients, supports Mental Health workers and teams in the communities, and provides case management and client referral services.

Elsie Stony-Regional Crisis Intervention Coordinator

 

The Regional Crisis Intervention Coordinator is the main contact between KO Health services and the local Crisis Team in the event of an emergency. The Regional Crisis Intervention Coordinator determines the training needs in each First Nation and develops plans if a need is determined.

Phyllis Chowaniec-Long Term Care Nurse,RPN

The Long Term Care Nurse provides client assessments via home or community visits, assesses the medical needs to include medication or aftercare, and various nursing services.

Kendall Hochstetler-Home Community Care Nurse

The Home Community Care Nurse provides clients assessments via home visits, nursing services and followup care. 

Ron Mathews- (IRSSW) Indian Residential School Support Worker

The IRS Support Worker provides counselling services via referrals to KO Mental Health Workers and professionals to Residential School Survivors, he also aids in the development of various documents for the purpose of compensation or further specialized counselling.

Mary Lawson-KO Health Advisory Committee Chair (KOHAC)

 

The KO Health Advisory Committee advises the Health Director on Health issues through the KOHAC Chair. The KOHAC chair is also a serving Health Director in their respective First Nation.

Erin Weaver-Health Secretary

The Health Secretary provides administrative services that includes preparing and organizing meeting and various workshops, updates the daily and weekly Health services department schedule, and oversees payroll, travel arrangements, and correspondence.
